Luke is regarded as one of the most versatile & talented players in the NRL.

Since making his first grade debut for the Penrith Panthers against the Melbourne Storm in 2001, he has enjoyed a hugely successful career which includes winning the 2003 NRL grand final when he played in the Panthers’ win over the Sydney Roosters. In 2010, Lewis was named Penrith’s best player in a great season, with Penrith finishing second on the NRL ladder and Luke being awarded the 2010 Dally M Lock of the Year & International Lock of the Year.

In 2012, Luke signed a 4-year contract with the Cronulla Sharks, however shortly after was given the shock news he had been diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. He has since overcome this adversity and returned to full training with his new club. He has moved to the Cronulla area where he is enjoying the close proximity to his new club and the lifestyle the area offers.
